1. About these terms

Agreement to the terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website curiouslanebrowsng.living (the “Site”), operated by Jadran Editorial House d.o.o., company number 14882037, Ulica Kralja Zvonimira 22, 10000 Zagreb, Croatia (“we”, “us”, “the publisher”). By browsing the Site you accept these Terms in full. If you do not accept them, please stop using the Site.

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The version published here governs your use on any given day, and the date above shows when it last changed. Continued use after a revision constitutes acceptance.

2. What the Site is

Editorial, not agency

The Site is an independent travel journal covering Croatia and the Adriatic. We publish destination guides, itineraries, transport explanations and opinion. We are not a travel agent, tour operator, package organiser or booking platform. We do not sell, reserve, broker or guarantee accommodation, ferry tickets, park entries, tours or insurance, and we hold no licence to do so. Any booking you make is a contract between you and that supplier alone.

Where we answer a reader’s question by email, we do so as journalists sharing research and personal experience. Our replies are informational and do not constitute professional travel, legal, medical or financial advice.

3. Accuracy

Information changes constantly

Croatian ferry timetables are reissued four times a year, national park pricing is revised seasonally, museums change opening hours, and roads close in high wind. We check what we publish and date our updates, but we cannot guarantee that every price, schedule or opening time on the Site is current at the moment you read it.

Always verify time-critical details with the official source — the operator, the park authority or the tourist board — before you travel or spend money. Where we know the official source, we link to it.

4. Liability

The limits of our responsibility

The Site and its contents are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by Croatian and EU law, we exclude all warranties, express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted availability.

We are not liable for missed ferries, sold-out tickets, changed prices, closed attractions or cancelled services.
We are not liable for loss, injury, illness or damage arising from activities described on the Site, including swimming, hiking, climbing, cycling and driving. You undertake these at your own risk and are responsible for your own insurance.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of holiday enjoyment, loss of profit or wasted expenditure.
We are not liable for the content, practices or privacy standards of third-party websites we link to.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

5. Intellectual property

Text, photographs and code

All original text, page structure, stylesheets, scripts and graphic identity on the Site are the property of Jadran Editorial House d.o.o. and are protected by Croatian and international copyright law. Photographs are either our own or licensed from third-party providers and remain the property of their respective rights holders.

You may read, print and share individual pages for personal, non-commercial use, and quote short extracts with clear attribution and a working link to the source page.
You may not republish substantial portions, systematically scrape the Site, use its content to train machine-learning models, resell it, or present it as your own work.

6. Acceptable use

How you may use the Site

You agree not to use the Site in any way that is unlawful, fraudulent or harmful, and in particular not to introduce malware, attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or infrastructure, place disproportionate load on our servers through automated requests, or send abusive, defamatory or spam content through our contact form. We may restrict access where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached.

7. Independence

Advertising, affiliates and corrections

We accept no paid placements inside editorial guides. We buy our own ferry tickets and pay our own park entries. If we ever introduce affiliate links or sponsored content, they will be labelled clearly and conspicuously at the point of appearance, and editorial rankings will not be influenced by commercial relationships.

We correct errors promptly. If you find an out-of-date price or a boat that no longer runs, write to [email protected] and we will update the page and credit you if you wish.

8. Governing law

Law and jurisdiction

Legal particulars
Governing law	The laws of the Republic of Croatia, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions.
Jurisdiction	The competent courts of Zagreb, Croatia. Consumers resident in the EU retain the right to bring proceedings in their own country of residence.
Online dispute resolution	EU consumers may use the European Commission’s ODR platform, although as we sell nothing online this will rarely be relevant.
Severability	If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder of these Terms continues in force.
Entire agreement	These Terms, together with the privacy and cookie policies, form the whole agreement between you and the publisher regarding the Site.
